Salvador Dali - Las Esculturas 1969 - 1976.
This Collection was modeled in wax at the artist's home in Port Lligat, Spain from 1969 to 1976 and acquired by his friend Isidro Clot.

(Nude ascending a staircase - Tribute to Marcel Duchamp) 1973.
Nothing pleased Dali more than paying tribute to his friend Marcel Duchamp with this sculpture and creating the realistic figure of a nude woman clambering up the spirals of a shell. This bronze is Dali's ironic response to the famous divisionist painting 'Nude descending a staircase' produced in 1911 by the leader of the Dada movement and father of Surrealism.
The feminine figure which Dali modelled reminds us of the body's morphology of Gala.

AUTHENTICITE ENTIEREMENT GARANTIE, PIECE AUTORISEE PAR DALI.

Salvador Dali - Las Esculturas 1969 - 1976.

(Nu montant l'escalier, Hommage à Marcel Duchamp) 1973.
