Dothy was born in 1974 on the shores of the Mediterranean, in the village of St Tropez, where many artists - writers, painters and filmmakers - have found inspiration in the magic of the place. Attracted to painting, Dothy left St Tropez for Paris where she gained a designer diploma in 1994 after several years of apprenticeship. Her paintings on wood reflect tranquillity through pure and dark lines, warm and soft tones with brushed effects. Her work transmits a feeling of serenity and simplicity which the artist finds in her daily life and travel in the Orient, a recurring theme, combining grace and lightness while inviting the spirit to escape and dream. ...
